Dear St. George's Community,
I hope you're all doing well! I wanted to give you a quick update and let you know that I'll be taking some time off from July 15th to August 12th. While I'm away, everything at St. George's will continue as usual, and there are some exciting things happening that I want to share with you.
Great news! We've just received a Town of Banff community grant for $3000, which is a huge support for our free community meals. It's a wonderful blessing, and we're so grateful. We do need more volunteers to keep this going, so if you can spare some time, please consider signing up. You can do that by clicking here.
Our Playtime at the Pines sessions have been a fantastic success. It's been wonderful to see families and children (ages 0-6) enjoying our church hall filled with toys and the opportunity for parents to connect. Your participation and support make this all possible.
Tuesday Bible Study: 321 Course
We’re shaking things up a bit! Our Tuesday Bible study will now be a faith discussion group led by Ji Won Baxter. She'll be taking us through the 321 Course, which is great for strengthening the faith of believers and welcoming non-Christians to explore the Christian faith. We'd love for you to join us!
Missional Funding Board Grant:
We’re thrilled to announce that we received a grant from the Missional Funding Board, allowing us to hire Ji Won Baxter as our Artistic Outreach Coordinator. Ji Won will be leading various artistic initiatives, book studies, and faith exploration groups, helping to make St. George's a true community hub in Banff. We're excited about the creative and spiritual growth this will bring.
Pastoral Care:
Even though I’ll be away, pastoral care is still available. We have Diocesan clergy on call to assist with any needs. If you need to connect with clergy, please reach out to Ji Won Baxter, who will coordinate with them.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. I appreciate each of you and look forward to seeing you when I return in August. May God bless you all during this time.
In Christ,
Rev. Seth Enriquez
Rector, St. George in the Pines Anglican Church
