We at St. George’s in the Pines are thrilled to be hosting a brand-new community initiative right here in our building! OESA Cafe in the Upper Room is opening on April 8 at 100 Beaver Street, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome this vibrant and inclusive space into our church home.
OESA Cafe in the Upper Room is a non-profit community cafe, built for Banff, by Banff, dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment for all. Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 2 p.m. to midnight, the cafe offers a lively, sober alternative to the nightlife scene. Come and enjoy:
Board games
Live music
Coffee, tea, snacks, and food
Community classes and workshops
A place to connect, create, or relax—no purchase necessary
This is more than a cafe: it’s a space for belonging, creativity, and community connection, and we’re honoured to be part of it.
We encourage our St. George’s family, and the wider Banff community, to come by, invite a friend, and support this initiative with your presence. If you’d like to contribute books, board games, or cafe supplies, donations are gratefully welcomed.
Let’s bless this new beginning together. See you at OESA Cafe in the Upper Room!
