At St. George in the Pines, we often talk about the power of gratitude—not just as a feeling, but as something that can shape lives and bring people together. Today, I want to share Ji Won’s story with you because it’s a beautiful reminder of what can happen when someone finds not just a place to belong, but a community that feels like family.

When Ji Won first arrived in Banff, she was excited about the adventure ahead but also felt the weight of being in a new place without knowing anyone. It’s a feeling many of us can relate to—that mix of hope and uncertainty. Then she walked through the doors of St. George’s, and everything began to change.

Through our church, Ji Won not only built deep friendships but also rediscovered a faith that gave her strength and clarity. She’s been an active part of our family ever since—whether it’s joining in worship, lending a hand at events, or simply being a kind and encouraging presence to others.

We’re so grateful to have Ji Won in our community, and we’re honored to be part of her journey.
